I take great pleasure in welcoming you to the website of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Honorary Consul, Mr. Afan Aziz, has been actively facilitating the work of the Embassy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The establishment of this website is another positive step towards bringing our two great nations closer.
This website has been established with a view towards facilitating information seekers on issues such as bilateral relations, consular services and commercial ties. It aims to promote mutual understanding and a healthy relationship.
Personally, Pakistan is a rapidly growing country with more than 200 million population and abundant natural resources. Located between Middle East and Asia and as a country the ancient Silk Road passed through, it is geopolitically getting more important. Moreover, Pakistan, where the Indus Civilization began, has a rich and diverse cultural heritage such as the Mohenjo Daro civilization, the Ganhdara Buddhist arts and Islamic traditions. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in 1983, the bilateral ties between the two countries have been enlarged substantially in the areas of trade, investment, human exchange and development cooperation. Nevertheless, considering the immense potential of Pakistan, the current level of ties is not sufficient and needs to be upgraded. The Korean Embassy will spare no efforts to support all the people who are interested in enhancing relations between Korea and Pakistan.
In this regard, I can assure you that you will receive full cooperation and a positive attitude from Honorary Consulate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in promoting any positive and productive proposal. You are encouraged to submit your views and ideas to further improve the friendship between Korea and Pakistan, especially in the fields of economic, educational, commercial and cultural cooperation.
